Students are encouraged to read books appropriate for their level of reading. After reading a book, students take a brief computerized quiz to determine whether or not they comprehended what they read.
Lower School students are encouaged to take part in piano, violin or dance instruction offered here at BBS.
Integrating technology into classroom curriculum is a focus in the Lower School. Students in grades 1 - 5 visit the computer lab once each week. While there, they may learn about internet safety, create a Power Point presentation using information they are learning in their classroom, research a country, animal or person, or use interactive educational software to practice skills learned in the classroom.
